Motor Vehicle Lecturer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join a further education provider in Sutton‑in‑Ashfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator or industry professional looking to support learners in developing the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in the motor vehicle sector.

You will deliver engaging, practical, and theory‑based sessions across a range of Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair topics, ensuring learners are supported, motivated, and progressing effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching across motor vehicle subjects at Levels 1–3

• Plan, prepare, and assess learner work in line with curriculum requirements

• Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their goals

• Maintain a safe, well‑organised workshop environment

• Contribute to the wider department through collaboration and curriculum development

About You

• Industry experience in motor vehicle maintenance/repair is essential

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential

• Assessing qualifications (e.g., A1/TAQA) are an advantage

• Strong communication skills and a passion for developing the next generation of automotive professionals

• Ability to start at short notice
